[ 04 ] FAQ
What is motion design?
It's the animation of shapes, typography, illustrations and information to communicate an idea on video. Many of our projects combine motion design with 2D character animation.
What's the difference between an explainer video and 2D animation?
An explainer video is the goal: making a product, a process or a technical subject simple. 2D animation is one way to do it, with characters and illustrated scenes. Many of our videos use both together.
Animation or live action: which should I choose?
Animation works best for explaining processes, products and abstract subjects, and it keeps the brand's visual identity in every scene. Live action is better for showing real people and places.
How long should an animated video be?
It depends on the subject and where the video will be shown. One to two minutes is usually enough to explain an idea clearly; we decide together in the script.
Can the video have characters?
Yes. We design characters and settings from the brand and its audience, as in our videos for ANBC and for Cazoolo and Danone, or animate characters you already have.
What do we need to send?
The video's goal, the audience, the brand guidelines and any reference material. If there's no script yet, we'll write it.
Can you make versions in other languages and formats?
Yes. We've delivered videos in Portuguese, English and Spanish, with voice-over or subtitles, in horizontal and vertical formats.
